Goooooo Jazz!!!!

Lauren's drill team had a fund raiser over the summer and at the fundraiser there was a silent auction. One of the items was tickets to a Jazz game. My AMAZING Dad was so generous and bid on the tickets and WON!!! Lauren called me to let me know that she was going to take me, and I can tell you I was soooooooo EXCITED!!!!! I found out in July that we were going to the game and I had to wait until December to actually go. We got the tickets and they were ROW 1!!! I was soooo excited! We weren't sitting on the court (those are folding chairs and don't count as a row) so we were second row right behind the Hoop. If any of you have Jazz game knowledge, you've heard of the doctor that throws chickens in the air during free throws... we were right by him! The tickets came with a dinner before the game and snacks during half time. Lauren and I had the TIME OF OUR LIVES and I hope that one day we can do it again (doubtful thought because face value of the tickets was $700.. A PIECE!! Nuts... who has that kind of money? Don't worry, my dad didn't even pay any where near that for the tickets.)At the dinner before the game.... Lauren and I probably looked like such tourists but we didn't care! We were going to enjoy every minute of this awesome experience! :) As you can see, my cute Hubby got me a green throwback jersey as an early Christmas Present.. I was so excited to wear it! Too bad the team didn't wear their throwbacks this night, but I still love the Jersey! Two of my favorites, D. Will and the Money Man Memo warming up for the game. When the team came out for warm ups, Lauren and I were freaking out! We were SOOOO CLOSE! I could feel drips of sweat flying off Booze we were so close :)The bear's eyes are Freaky!!!
Not my favorite Jazzmen but He was so close I had to take a pictureAfter introductions before the game started... Jazz cheer! Go Jazz!We were lucky enough to get to see the Spurs play. Tim Duncan is HUGE! I couldn't resist taking a picture of Tony Parkers nicest Asset :)
This was by far the BEST game we could have gone to. It was a nail bitter all the way to the end and we won with less that 20 seconds on the clock. Lauren and I were on the Jumbo Tron 4 times (which ties our record... what can we say? The camera loves us :) and we LOVED all the drinks, popcorn and nachos that we got at halftime

After the W by the team. Korver didn't play, but other than that, this was by far the most amazing Jazz experience I have ever had! Lauren and I were sooo lucky to be able to go experience the "good" life for a night and get to see the best game of the season so far! Thank you so much Dad for the early Christmas present! Lauren and I had the time of our lives and we will cherish the memory forever!!! You are the best and I love you!!!!

Up next: CHRISTMAS!!!

This year I volunteered to have the annual Halloween dinner at my house. My family and Jed's family all came over for the tradition soup and rolls. It was a little chaotic and i learned that we can't fit everyone in our house comfortably, but it was a lot of fun! Happy Halloween everyone... here are a bunch of random pictures from the night

October happenings

October has been fun so far and I am looking forward to Halloween! Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to ...
Lauren, Elisse and I went to Thriller with the Drill Team. If you haven't ever been, you need to go! It is fun and makes me miss dancing. Then it was Elisse's 24th birthday! All the girls (minus Kaitlyn) at the birthday dinner at my moms
On her actual birthday, she didn't have any plans, so I invited her along to lunch with my mother-in-law Joanne and me at the Lion House. The company was great and the chocolate cake was delicious!
We had a good hard laugh because of Elisse.... she found a fly in her salad dead on a hard boiled egg (GROSS) so on the comment card they leave on the table, she put "there was a bug in my salad" and then took the bug and a piece of egg and stuck it on the comment card so whoever read it would know that she wasn't lying. Joanne and I were rolling on the floor we were laughing so hard :)
After lunch in front of the temple
Joanne works at the church office building so she took us inside to check it out. I have never been on the top floor, but it was so neat up there! You could see everything. I took this picture of the temple.. I thought it was a fun view that you don't see every day. They were also having a health fair at her work so Elisse and I got to go around and get a bunch of free "healthy" stuff like hand sanitizer and a go green "save the earth" snoopy doll that Wrigley just loves.
It was a fun little outing... thanks Joanne for the tour!
Yesterday our Friends Jen and Mike invited us over for family home evening. They were nice enough to get Jed and I a pumpkin and we did some carving. I haven't carved a pumpkin in years and I forgot how much fun it can be! After a lot of frustration, my pumpkin turned out looking like a Frenchman.

The finished product. It was really cold and windy and for some reason my camera flash made it look like the middle of the day, but this was late at night and the candles wouldn't stay lit. I think they still turned out great though

Thanks Mike and Jen for the fun evening!!

Hello everyone to the new private blog! I hope everyone got their invite, so please leave a comment letting me know you can get to my blog.

I had a bunch of creepy people leaving me comments so I decided going private was probably the safest idea. You never know who is on the Internet!!

New House Pictures (FINALLY!)

Be prepared! There are a lot of pictures!!!
Jed and I were so excited to buy our first house. This process was very stressful especially since our house was being built, but we finally got everything done, signed, and funded! We moved in two weeks ago and we are loving being on our own again. My Parents were so nice to let us live in their basement rent free.. without them we never would have been able to do this. I have spent my nights trying to get my decorations and paintings up, but we are still working on that. We can't afford blinds at the moment, so I got some really pretty drapes that my darling mother in law is sewing for me... I will post pictures of those when they are up... So here are all the pictures!View when you first walk in the front door
My beautiful kitchen. Jed did ALL the cabinets in our house (the kitchen isn't quite done yet.. he still needs to put lighting in the upper cabinets and do the crown molding and a couple pieces of glass are missing)Dining room... I want to get a new table eventually so that we can have people over for dinner. My drapes are always shut because I don't want my neighbors always looking in my windowsIslandOur family room view #1 -- Jed also made that entertainment center for me... He made a huge coffee table to match as well, but it won't fit with the ottoman in there as well. He is so talented and I am love that I have a Husband that can make me pretty things!Family room View #2.. our couch takes up the whole room and I am still trying to decide what we are going to do with that huge two story wall... right now it is just blankOne of my favorite projects. Jed put these shelves up for me going up the stairs and I am going to put holiday decorations on themMaster BedroomOne of my favorite features, my big soaker tubSecond bathroom upstairs view #1second bathroom view #2view out my bedroom window

I haven't gotten the front bedrooms together yet, but we have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a 2 car garage. We plan on staying here for a while, and we are very excited to start a family here. We are right down the street from the new temple, and we can see angel "baroni" (my cute nephew Boston calls him angel Baroni... he loved going through the open house and seeing the temple) from our or bathroom window. I am excited to be so close to the temple and hopefully we can take advantage of our close location!

Hopefully you feel like you had a tour of the new house now. We had so many people help us move in and we are so grateful for all of them! So many people helped us move boxes and unpack and hang up clothes. Thank you so much to you guys! You know who you are!

Syd's Baptism and Tin Foil Dinners

Friday night, my niece Sydney decided to get baptised. It was a wonderful night and I know we all felt the spirit there. All our family was there and Syd was baptised by Jed's Dad. It was special because she was baptised by the same person that baptised both her parents. I am so proud of her for making this grown up decision! She is such a darling girl and the newest member of the church :)My blasted camera is not taking very good pictures recently... I don't understand why but they are blurry! Jed and the newly baptised SydJoanne, Amy, Me and Annie at Amy's house after the Baptism. We all matched (black and white) so we had to get a picture of it!!
I am so proud of you Syd! Keep up the good decisions!
Saturday night we went up Provo canyon with my best friends Emily and Alisha (and their husbands) from high school. We have made it a new goal to go out once a month because we never see each other anymore. Septembers activity was going up the canyon and having tin foil dinners and Smores. It was so much fun and I have a blast with these girls!! I hope we stay friends forever!
Jason and EmilyMe and Jed

The girls... we haven't been very good at documenting our get togethers, so I will try to take more pictures! I took a big group picture but you guessed it! Blurry! So I will have to get a copy from Alisha. I also don't have a couples picture of Nate and Alisha because they had their own camera with them and I forgot to get one too. I had such a good time and I look forward to many more years of friendship with these girls and their cute hubbies!

Wedding and Stay-cation!

August 22, 2009 my beautiful cousin Megan got married to Josh Lloyd. It was such a beautiful day and it was an amazing sealing! I am so happy for them both and I am excited to have Josh in our family. Here are a few pictures from the wedding weekend... Grandma Stucki had a DELICIOUS dinner at her house the night before the wedding and got this beautiful cake for the happy couple. They weren't there at the same time, so I got a picture of each of them with it before it was cut into

Coming out of the temple... aren't they so cute! It was such a wonderful fun day and luckily the weather cooperated! The next day is was overcast, cold and rainy First Kiss outside the templeAren't they just the cutest couple? Meg is soooo gorgeous it isn't even fair :)Me and my cute nephews outside the temple in the heat. Neither one was very excited about taking a picture but they looked so cute I couldn't resist. Her reception was so fun but my camera died right after this picture was taken so I didn't get any pictures. Her colors were lime green and purple and she was the church gym decorated so cute! They even had cotton candy!! It was such a fun day and I wish them a lifetime of happiness!!

The second we got home from Idaho, we went up to the Westgate Resort at the Canyons in Park City. Jed's parents have a time share that they get to use once every other year and this year was my first time going! We had such a good time sitting around relaxing, eating, swimming, shopping and playing grouch. It was nice to just enjoy the week (minus the few days I had to go down to slc to help Jed with the cabinets for our house) and have a relaxing stay-cation! We went shopping at the outlets a couple times and ate at Baja Cantina (yum!) and a really good New York style pizza place called Maxwells but mostly we just relaxed. It was just what I needed. I took my camera with me, but I completely forgot to take any pictures, so the only documented picture I have of the week is this cute one of Wrigley and Annie... She is such a cutie! I could just steal her away from Ben and Annie...

Thank you so much Gregg and Joanne for the fun weekend! I can't wait until we can do it again!

And the update on the house.....Jed has spent the last three weeks on our cabinets and is finishing installing them tonight. They look INCREDIBLE! I have the most talented Husband and I can't wait to post the pictures so you can all be jealous of his handy work. The walls have been painted, and the tile is in so now we will just be waiting on granite, carpet and finishing work. It looks like we will get to close and move in by next weekend. I am SO excited! I will post the finished product once the carpet and everything is in so stay tuned!
