While we were there we ran (or slowly walked) a 5K as a family for my cousin Josh who is fighting Cancer at the Huntsman cancer institute. It was a very special experience to have and to show our support to Josh

Favorite sleeping position

Growing and Growing!

Zoey is getting so big! It is bitter sweet to watch her grow into a toddler. It is so fun to see her grow and learn so much but also makes me sad that she isn't my tiny baby anymore! It passes by way too fast! Some things about Zoey (she is 13 and 1/2 months)

-walking all over the place! She started walking a few weeks after her birthday and there is no stopping her now! She wants to walk everywhere and hates when we hold her and won't let her down
-has 8 teeth. 4 on top and 4 on bottom
-loves to brush her teeth. I try to help her first to make sure they get clean and then I give her the brush to do it herself. She loves being independent
- has good and bad nights with sleeping. We went to Idaho last weekend and she was awful at the hotel. This week she has been pretty good and sleeps through the night. I have decided that she will not go to sleep without a fight until she is good and ready! Stubborn like her Daddy... ok AND her Mommy :)
-Loves other babies and always points and says baby
-waves goodbye. Went from a lobster pincher goodbye to a beauty pageant wave goodbye.
-Is more of a copy cat when it comes to words now. Says "ought oh" all the time now because I said it yesterday when she threw something off the bed.
-gives the BEST loves
-is a little flirt! She loves flirting with Boys. At Sunday dinner she always flirts with Ben and Papa Gregg who sit on the other side of the table
-Her favorite toy is her picnic basket that my mom (and Amy) gave her for her birthday. She is actually pretty good at getting the shapes in the right spot
-is an escape artist- loves to get past our barricade to get to the stairs. She is really good at going up but thinks she can just turn around and fall to get back down- we keep her AWAY from stairs for this reason
-sits in a forward facing car seat now. She loves the view but is having a hard time figuring out how to sleep. We are still working on a solution to that

I know I've said this a lot, but I can't believe my baby is ONE! This year went by way to fast! I'll do a separate post about her birthday, but here are some things about Zoey at 1 year

- decided to start walking at Gavins birthday party. She isn't walking completely yet but she goes between furniture and is getting really close!
- got 3 new teeth for her birthday. She woke up and 2 on the top left and one on the bottom left had come through. She has 3 on top and 4 on bottom now. The dr said it was weird that she had 4 teeth on one side and none on the other but it wasn't anything to worry about
- gives me hugs and kisses all the time now
- loves to hold a spoon and try to feed herself. She hasn't figured out that the scoop part I'd what you use, she try's to pick up her food with the handle
- loves watching toy story 3
- loves walking her new stroller from Christmas around
- says baby, mama, dada and something that sounds like duck
-struggling with sleeping again, doesn't sleep through the night again and wakes up between 2 and 3
- love tomatoes!
- the transition to cows milk was easy, she loves it!!
-laughs at me all the time and if I'm trying to make her laugh and she doesn't think I'm funny she will give me a pity laugh
-19 lbs 12 oz (28%)

Happy birthday sweet girl! We love you so much!!

This is late but I still want to remember what Zoey was like at 11 months before she turns ONE!

- is so close to walking. She crab crawls all over the couch and can stand on her own for a couple minutes. She took a few steps but is too scared to go farther. She gets really excited when we Try to have her walk and she usually face-plants because of momentum
- sleeping really well. She goes to bed at 8:30 and gets up around 7:00. Too early for me but at least she is in her own bed and is sleeping through the night
- takes a 2 hr nap in the morning and rarely takes a nap in the afternoon
- makes a ton of noises that sound like words. She is getting really good at copying me
- wants to feed herself but hasn't figured out how to use a spoon
- gives me loves- this is my FAVORITE! She puts her arms around my neck and just squeezes. She will also give me kisses. It melts my heart that she can show her love to me and Jed
- when I pick her up from the nanny she gets really excited and crawls to me really fast to be held. It makes my whole day!
- loves to watch movies with mommy. She has branched out from Rio and Despicable Me and she will now watch Up! , Tangled, and Toy Story 3. She will sit on the floor and watch a movie from start to finish and only move to pick up a different toy
- loves playing with other kids
- loves to pull everything out of our cabinets and entertainment center. We put pillows in front of the entertainment doors so now she will crawl over there and then just lay down for a couple minutes. It is so cute!
- says mama and dada
- her hair is getting long! The mullet is back!
- has 4 teeth- 3 on bottom and 1 on top
