The 12 dancing princesses
Ok, maybe not TWELVE dancing princesses, but this post is dedicated to TWO dancing princesses! My sisters are two of the best dancers I know, and I am so proud of them! When I watch them dance, it makes me want to dance again. Elisse was very busy in December and put on her very own production of the Nutcracker.... She was the sugar plum fairy, Lauren was the Spanish dancer, my dad was Drosselmeyer and Spencer was the bearded lady. My camera died before I could film Elisse's Pas de Deux but it was beautiful and considering it was her first ever, she did amazing!

The two dancersElisse has done MANY other things in dance, but I'll have to dig up some old pictures and put them on here.
Lauren is a Junior at Alta and is continuing the tradition of being on the drill team (Elisse and I were both on it all three years of high school) and on Friday she competed her solo for the last time this year. She was really sick, but she still did awesome!

This is a video of Hip Hop and Lauren's solo. We scream a lot for them while they dance to give them energy, so hopefully you can still hear the songs that they are dancing too... Lauren is on the Front left for most of Hip Hop She is the TALL skinny one :). Region is next week and I will record Military, Dance and Kick there and post those for you to see. They are incredible dances! This is mostly for you dancers (or dance moms.. Terra :) that I thought would like to see what I am always talking about ... I'm proud of my little Sis!

Christmas has come and gone again, and instead of boring you with all my Christmas pictures, here is a picture of our tree ...
I loved how big it was! We decided to take advantage of our very tall family room, and I think the tree turned out pretty... So until next year, I hope everyone had as Merry of a Christmas as we did!

I am so lucky to be married to such a good man who is so good to me and pretty darn sexy if I do say so myself :). We started off the celebrations with dinner to a place of Jed's choice... he chose Joe's Crabshack...
Before Dinner
Jed loves his seafood (me not so much, I ate at the movie theater after dinner :)
Little did I know that they make you put on a hat and ride a stick horse around the restaurant for your birthday... Jed was a good sport and I got a good laugh out of it! We went and saw Sherlock Holmes after dinner with my family and Jed's parents. It was fun to be together and the movie was so good!

My mom made a DELISH dinner of New York Roast and mashed potatoes... my favorite!
The cake I attempted to decorate for Jed using my new cake decorating kit that Joanne gave me for christmas. This was MUCH better than my second attempt, but still I need work. The blue "frosting" that I used to write was NOT frosting and was a melty gel that didnt' stay in word form, so I did my best to make it read-able... I want to take a cake decorating class, so if you know of one let me know!
Me and the birthday boy
Blowing out his 6 candles... I didn't want a fire hazard with all 26 candles :)
The token "this is what I got my birthday" picture at my parents. My mom and dad got him a BYU shirt and Hat... His favorite!!! That Sunday we went to Jed's parents for dinner and had another cake for him there but I didn't get any pictures.... Happy Birthday Jed!!

April 17th, 2010
So... I need to put update about Christmas, Jed's Birthday, and the New Year... but my camera is dead and I can't upload pictures until it is charged again... stay tuned for that.... but I have decided to do something that I want to share so I am accountable for it. I signed up for...
A HALF MARATHON. That's right. 13.1 miles. The furthest I've ever run is 3.1 miles and that was in August and I thought I was going to die. I am excited for this challenge though and I started training yesterday... 1 day down, 3 1/2 months to go!! My mom and my sister in law Annie are both running it as well and I am so excited to accomplish this with them. Annie has been running these like mad the past year so she will toast us, but my mom has only run 1 half marathon and it was years ago so she and I are good training buddies. So goodbye Soda Pop, until April 17th! If anyone has good tips for training, let me know! I need all the help I can get :)

Goooooo Jazz!!!!
Lauren's drill team had a fund raiser over the summer and at the fundraiser there was a silent auction. One of the items was tickets to a Jazz game. My AMAZING Dad was so generous and bid on the tickets and WON!!! Lauren called me to let me know that she was going to take me, and I can tell you I was soooooooo EXCITED!!!!! I found out in July that we were going to the game and I had to wait until December to actually go. We got the tickets and they were ROW 1!!! I was soooo excited! We weren't sitting on the court (those are folding chairs and don't count as a row) so we were second row right behind the Hoop. If any of you have Jazz game knowledge, you've heard of the doctor that throws chickens in the air during free throws... we were right by him! The tickets came with a dinner before the game and snacks during half time. Lauren and I had the TIME OF OUR LIVES and I hope that one day we can do it again (doubtful thought because face value of the tickets was $700.. A PIECE!! Nuts... who has that kind of money? Don't worry, my dad didn't even pay any where near that for the tickets.)
At the dinner before the game.... Lauren and I probably looked like such tourists but we didn't care! We were going to enjoy every minute of this awesome experience! :) As you can see, my cute Hubby got me a green throwback jersey as an early Christmas Present.. I was so excited to wear it! Too bad the team didn't wear their throwbacks this night, but I still love the Jersey!
Two of my favorites, D. Will and the Money Man Memo warming up for the game. When the team came out for warm ups, Lauren and I were freaking out! We were SOOOO CLOSE! I could feel drips of sweat flying off Booze we were so close :)
The bear's eyes are Freaky!!!

Not my favorite Jazzmen but He was so close I had to take a picture
After introductions before the game started... Jazz cheer! Go Jazz!
We were lucky enough to get to see the Spurs play. Tim Duncan is HUGE! I couldn't resist taking a picture of Tony Parkers nicest Asset :)

It was a nail bitter all the way to the end and we won with less that 20 seconds on the clock. Lauren and I were on the Jumbo Tron 4 times (which ties our record... what can we say? The camera loves us :) and we LOVED all the drinks, popcorn and nachos that we got at halftime

After the W by the team. Korver didn't play, but other than that, this was by far the most amazing Jazz experience I have ever had! Lauren and I were sooo lucky to be able to go experience the "good" life for a night and get to see the best game of the season so far! Thank you so much Dad for the early Christmas present! Lauren and I had the time of our lives and we will cherish the memory forever!!! You are the best and I love you!!!!
Up next: CHRISTMAS!!!

This year I volunteered to have the annual Halloween dinner at my house. My family and Jed's family all came over for the tradition soup and rolls. It was a little chaotic and i learned that we can't fit everyone in our house comfortably, but it was a lot of fun! Happy Halloween everyone... here are a bunch of random pictures from the night
