Her favorite toy- a water bottle!

First tooth! Kind of hard to see but I had to get a picture- it is so cute!

Zoey is growing like a weed! I took her to the Dr. for a follow up visit (more on that later) and she was 16 lbs 3 oz. Just a little munchkin but she feels so big to me! She is so much fun and makes me so happy. I can't help but smile at all the cute things she does all day.

Things about Zoey at 8 months

-still not crawling. I think she could, she just chooses not to
-won't hold her bottle. I know she can, she just chooses not to

-can pull herself up to standing (most of the time)

-as you can tell she does things in her own time and I cannot force her to do anything unless SHE is ready
-her new favorite chew toy is MY HAIR. She always finds it and sucks on it. So gross.. but very hard to stop. She is sneaky and half the time I don't notice she is doing it

-gets the chills. She will be playing and stop and shiver and make a brr sound. it is hilarious to watch!

-has regressed in eating. She got sick and didn't eat solids for a few days and now she is being a pill and won't eat very well. She's getting a little better so hopefully we will be back to 2-3 meals a day soon

-generally sleeps through the night with 1 night feeding. So much better than before

-makes all sort of funny noises and does silly things with her mouth. She sounds like a dinosaur half the time and an owl the other half. She is constantly puffing small breaths of air. It must be entertaining to her- Jed says this is a sainsbury trait

-eats her bracelet whenever I put it on her

-has become my little Indian and does the hand powwow all the time

-We call her buggy, or buggy bug. I don't know why- but I love it

-had a bladder infection :(

She was really sick a couple weeks ago so we took her in to get check out and she ended up with a bladder infection. I feel so bad for my little baby that she was that sick and in so much pain. We didn't get any sleep for 2 nights because she felt so horrible. I think she would go to sleep and then pee and that would wake her up because it was so painful. My Pediatrician said it isn't normal for a little baby her age to get an infection as bad as hers and since we have a family history of bladder problems, she has to go get a bunch of test done at Primary's. I am not looking forward to that and hope that everything will come back normal.

Seven Month Update

I can't believe the summer is winding down! I am not ready for the cold winter, but I am ready for cooler weather and fall clothes!
Zoey is growing like a weed and has turned into quite the chunk the last few months. Some things about Zoey at 7 Months:
-Recognizes her NAME!
-No longer has a mullet- she pulled it out herself! She pulls her hair while she eats (which gets food everywhere) and you can hear her hair ripping out. She smiles when she does it- should I be concerned?
-Loves her veggies (green beans are her favorite!) and also loves oatmeal
-Hates the flavored puff snacks for Babies
-Has started to reach for things and also for Me and Jed. I love when I come in a room and she reaches for me to be picked up
-motorboats with her mouth ALL DAY LONG. I don't know who taught her this lovely trick but it is cute (except for the spit that goes everywhere)
-has ADD when I try to feed her. She gets distracted by everything when she eats. She can be in a room with nothing going on and she will be distracted by the carpet
-smacks her lips together if I'm not paying attention and don't get the spoon of food in her mouth when she is ready for it (this is adorable as well!)
-STILL struggling with sleeping but doing MUCH better. She has been sleeping 6 straight hours the last 3 nights (hopefully this doesn't jinx it!)
-LOVES the swimming pool and being outside. She is her fathers child
-Still comes to work with me every day and is usually very well behaved
-loves other babies. She stares at Kynlee whenever she is around
-LOVES the movie Despicable Me. She watches it constantly. I know this makes me a bad mother, but it usually puts her to sleep. My guess is she loves the yellow minions since she laughs at them when they do funny things
-Sits really well
-Shows signs of being interested in crawling
-has held her bottle herself once or twice. I think she could do it all the time but is lazy
-Sleeps with her legs in the air when possible (picture below)
-babbles all the time now. Her favorites are Bah, Dah, Vuh and now does Mah (love that one because it sounds like she is saying mama ) she also makes random noises which make me laugh
