Syd's Baptism and Tin Foil Dinners

Friday night, my niece Sydney decided to get baptised. It was a wonderful night and I know we all felt the spirit there. All our family was there and Syd was baptised by Jed's Dad. It was special because she was baptised by the same person that baptised both her parents. I am so proud of her for making this grown up decision! She is such a darling girl and the newest member of the church :)My blasted camera is not taking very good pictures recently... I don't understand why but they are blurry! Jed and the newly baptised SydJoanne, Amy, Me and Annie at Amy's house after the Baptism. We all matched (black and white) so we had to get a picture of it!!
I am so proud of you Syd! Keep up the good decisions!
Saturday night we went up Provo canyon with my best friends Emily and Alisha (and their husbands) from high school. We have made it a new goal to go out once a month because we never see each other anymore. Septembers activity was going up the canyon and having tin foil dinners and Smores. It was so much fun and I have a blast with these girls!! I hope we stay friends forever!

The girls... we haven't been very good at documenting our get togethers, so I will try to take more pictures! I took a big group picture but you guessed it! Blurry! So I will have to get a copy from Alisha. I also don't have a couples picture of Nate and Alisha because they had their own camera with them and I forgot to get one too. I had such a good time and I look forward to many more years of friendship with these girls and their cute hubbies!

Wedding and Stay-cation!

August 22, 2009 my beautiful cousin Megan got married to Josh Lloyd. It was such a beautiful day and it was an amazing sealing! I am so happy for them both and I am excited to have Josh in our family. Here are a few pictures from the wedding weekend... Grandma Stucki had a DELICIOUS dinner at her house the night before the wedding and got this beautiful cake for the happy couple. They weren't there at the same time, so I got a picture of each of them with it before it was cut into

Coming out of the temple... aren't they so cute! It was such a wonderful fun day and luckily the weather cooperated! The next day is was overcast, cold and rainy First Kiss outside the templeAren't they just the cutest couple? Meg is soooo gorgeous it isn't even fair :)Me and my cute nephews outside the temple in the heat. Neither one was very excited about taking a picture but they looked so cute I couldn't resist. Her reception was so fun but my camera died right after this picture was taken so I didn't get any pictures. Her colors were lime green and purple and she was the church gym decorated so cute! They even had cotton candy!! It was such a fun day and I wish them a lifetime of happiness!!

The second we got home from Idaho, we went up to the Westgate Resort at the Canyons in Park City. Jed's parents have a time share that they get to use once every other year and this year was my first time going! We had such a good time sitting around relaxing, eating, swimming, shopping and playing grouch. It was nice to just enjoy the week (minus the few days I had to go down to slc to help Jed with the cabinets for our house) and have a relaxing stay-cation! We went shopping at the outlets a couple times and ate at Baja Cantina (yum!) and a really good New York style pizza place called Maxwells but mostly we just relaxed. It was just what I needed. I took my camera with me, but I completely forgot to take any pictures, so the only documented picture I have of the week is this cute one of Wrigley and Annie... She is such a cutie! I could just steal her away from Ben and Annie...

Thank you so much Gregg and Joanne for the fun weekend! I can't wait until we can do it again!

And the update on the house.....Jed has spent the last three weeks on our cabinets and is finishing installing them tonight. They look INCREDIBLE! I have the most talented Husband and I can't wait to post the pictures so you can all be jealous of his handy work. The walls have been painted, and the tile is in so now we will just be waiting on granite, carpet and finishing work. It looks like we will get to close and move in by next weekend. I am SO excited! I will post the finished product once the carpet and everything is in so stay tuned!

5K and House Updates

On Saturday I finished a 5K!!!! I was so proud of myself. I will not tell you how long it took me, but I finished and I ran/jogged the WHOLE way.. well... almost. I walked once or twice for a minute. I didn't want to throw up on the trail :) Annie was such a trooper and stayed with me to motivate me to keep running. She could have ran circles around me and finished 20 minutes faster than we did, but I am so grateful that she stuck it out with me! I couldn't have done it without you Annie!!! You are the best... thank you so much for being my motivational coach!!! Jed kept up with Ben the whole time too.. I am so proud of you!! I thought for sure that he would struggle since we started running about a week before the race, but he did awesome! And my mom just took off and left me in the dust! She finished 5 minutes before Annie and I did. This was a huge accomplishment for me, and I am excited to run in Mikes Mad Dash (Sign up everyone!!! It's only a 5K and its for a great cause! Let me know if you need info on it-- Annie is on the panel putting it on) and HOPEFULLY cut quite a bit of time off my current time.

The 5K Crew- Ben, Annie, Jed, Me and my mom. Annie won a Toys-R-Us gift card just for running in the race! That girl has the best luck! :)
In other news-- our house is coming right along! All the dry wall is up and textured and they are starting tile today. Jed and I can't wait to move in!!!!

Jed wasn't happy about taking this picture, but this is the first picture of the two of us in our almost completed house.... We are sooo excited!!!

The Fray and 22!

Jed and I got Lauren tickets to The Fray for her birthday and we ended up going with her. It was so much fun! He was really good live... I tried to find a good video of him singing on you tube, but no such luck. We had a blast and I am so glad that we got to go with her!On July 20th, it was my 22nd birthday. It was pretty low key, but it was perfect! Our birthday celebrations last for a couple days in my family, so we had dinner at my moms on Sunday, then lunch with the family on Monday and dinner with Jed on Monday night. My mom made me a delicious cake and a yummy steak dinner! It was a really fun birthday weekend and I wish it could be my birthday everyday! The Beautiful cake that my mom made me. Chocolate with cream cheese frosting! So delicious!Lunch at Chilis with my sisters (not including Elisse--- We missed you!!!) and my Dad. My mom was working so she wasn't able to come. That night, Jed and I drove up to Park City for a little getaway and ate at Baja Cantina. It was so yummy! We even got a yummy brownie Sunday for dessert. It was delicious! Jed was such a cutie and got me running shoes for my birthday (thanks to Annie, I am now a "runner" and I use the term lightly because I'm more of a jog/walker :)

Cherry Hill 2009 (A LOT of pictures)

When I say a LOT of pictures, I mean it! Since I wasn't allowed to swim this year, I was the picture taker for the yearly Sainsbury family reunion at Cherry Hill in Kaysville. It is such a fun time to get together with family and swim, camp and sit around and talk. We had a blast and I can't wait to go back next year! I took a bunch of cute pictures (mostly of Wrigley but she is such a doll, who can resist taking pictures of her?!?) Jed being really excited that I made him take a "myspace" self taken picture Annie, Amber, Denice and Harlee in Pirates Cove at the water park

Sweet 16 and House Updates

Yesterday was my little sister Lauren's 16 Birthday! I can't believe how old we are all getting! Its nuts... but she started the day off getting her drivers license (she was soooo excited!) then lunch at our favorite place Olive Garden for lunch. After lunch we went to the MAC counter and got mini makeovers. It was fun to be with the girls and have some fun make-up time. Later that night we had a family dinner with cake and presents and then all her friends came over. I think it was a pretty good birthday for her!

My Mom WAY out did herself with this cake!!! This woman is crazy! I had to get a couple pictures of it because it was so pretty.

the birthday girl, my mom and Gavin smiling at the camera with my mom's masterpiece

Here is a close up of the cake. It was two layers. The bottom layer was a homemade from scratch double chocolate cake, and the top heart layer was a red velvet cake mix. Needless to say the bottom layer was MUCH better. She put cream cheese frosting and chocolate ganache with strawberries. It so DELICIOUS! I'm telling ya, my mom is super woman!
Jed and I got Lauren tickets to the Fray .... this was a recreation of the surprised moment. (the original was much better, but I didn't have my camera out and missed it )
She got a lot of fun presents and I think she had a pretty good day... Happy 16th Birthday Lauren!!!!
In other news, our house is coming along. It is so fun to drive out there and see the progress they have made. Jed and I are SO excited and can't wait until we get to move in!
They have the stone and siding up, but they still have a lot to do! Now you can sort of tell what it will look like finished

This is going to be the kitchen. Jed is going to do our cabinets custom and they are going to be amazing!!! I am so excited to see them installed because they are going to be incredible. My hubby is amazing and I am proud of him for wanting to do the cabinets all by himself (I can't wait for you to see the finished product. Jed designed them on his own and its going to be awesome!!!!)

I was SOOO excited when I saw there was some drywall up! Its only the dividing wall, but still! This is the family room (I love that it is open and 2 stories high!) and the stairs going up are on the left

And my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE part... our house number is up! Its all ours! 10449 Sage Vista Way will be our address for the next years of our life. I am so excited to move to a new neighbor hood of young families (yay!!!) and I am so excited to move on the the next phase of our lives and start our family in this house! Who knew a bunch of wood and concrete could be so fun!?!? :)
